Thoughts from the Paris metro.....

I never did like the childhood game "twister". I only played it a couple of times and it seemed everyone got bored with it rather quickly.
Well, I had a flash back yesterday while I was riding the RER A back to Paris. It was rush hour and fairly hot down there for the time of year. So my question is this.... was the game created to get people used to public transportation? I could easily see this game as a forerunner to rush hour traffic cram session. For real, there are so many people at the entrance to the train and only a few poles on which to hold onto. So, right in front of you, you may have Pepe Le Pew stretching his arm across your nose. Wow!!! Toxic for sure. One just hopes the next stop is his.
My lovely wife thinks she has figured out the whole perfume thing here in France. She now wears a little perfume on her wrist just in case she smells the stink-o on someone while traveling on the metro. Its always better to smell yourself than someone else I suppose.

Preparing to Travel to Paris France

Preparing for a long term stay in Paris can be a long, arduous task... just like anything else I guess. Thanks to the internet, some people have posted helpful links, experiences, and tips that make the "search" all the less time consuming. There are now so many websites out there that offer housing, whether short or long term rentals.
I have been looking for a long term apartment for my wife and I. There are actually only a handful that are actually worth looking at IF YOU DO NOT KNOW FRENCH. i found a website that list pretty much every site for the english speaking world.

http://www.parisnotes.com/rentals/parisapartmentrentals.html

just click on any of the companies on the left side of the page.

In my experience so far, parisattitude.com, paristay.com, and lodgis.com are the top three in my book. There are a few others but for the pricing, navigation of website and the quantity of apartments to view, these are a great place to start and finish your search.

"B"iotto's open for dessert

"B"iotto's has its place among the greats like Trader Giotto's, Ming's, Joe's, Jose's, etc.......
Yes, tonight was gelato night!! Who says you have to pay an arm and a leg for great gelato at some hole in the wall place in the highlands.
Ok, let me back up..... This past summer I had the opportunity to get my hands on a White Mountain Ice cream maker. Old school... that's right.... well, except that it now has a loud motor on top that does everything for you so that you will retain all of the calories you just put into your body. Who's counting anyway? Ok, so.. grandmas homemade vanilla ice cream recipe is still #1, but I say that there is a definite new #2. HOMEMADE PISTACHIO GELATO!! Wow! It was so good... I really don't know what to say.... I enjoyed whipping it up with the assistance of Mrs. Biotto. It is sometimes fun to cook with others.

Entering the Blog-o-sphere

Inspiring me today for my first blog was my fluffy sidekick kitty "Paw paws, paw daddy, poh doh's, or otherwise known as Mr. Paws." The inspiration, oh yes.... It seems the previously mentioned pet likes to eat cell phone charger cords. He is an Apple kind of kitty. Only the best right? Iphone cords have a particular flavor and sweetness y0u can't get from any other Nokia or LG.... So two cords in two days and a dead battery... What to do? --- Electrical tape. Nope. Didn't work. Those incisor teeth are just to sharp; must of severed something on the inside. There must be better flavor in the marrow of those cords that Mr. Paws has discovered and can't live without.
I wonder if its like the excitement you get the first time you touch your tongue to a 9v battery? Yes, for some reason once wasn't enough....
